15th Years Anniversary Celebration

It took some time to negotiate with son to "permit" us to go for a getaway without him, as to celebrate our 15th years wedding anniversary.  He finally agree with 2 curfews:
  • Can only leave after he leaves for school on Friday;
  • Be back before 10pm on Sunday night.
He was afraid he couldn't wake up on time for school Hence stated these conditions.  How clever is he!  :)

It left us not much a choice but finally Bantam!  Got a quick booking via JA Travel to stay at Harris Waterfront.  We chose a Japanese Room Suite to enjoy.  :)

Couching Time

It was a good getaway with quality time spent.  Eating, shopping, watching movie, doing massages, sun bathing and lots of idling time together.  Of course, we talked alot.  No arguement too.  :)   We thanked God for a wonderful time together.  To hold and to cherish each other, treasure every moment we had.

Nevertheless, we missed Nathan.  We made 4 calls and couldn't remember how many SMS we sent to him.  He was a courageous boy.  He slept alone for both nights at home, without any adults.  He even went to church on Sunday.  Our boy has grown up to be independent young man.  No matter how much we prepare him, parents tend to have lots of worries.  However, he did extremely well.  He didn't lose anything, didn't miss any program and woke up on time on both days for tuition and church.  What else can we worry?  We are very proud of you, Nathan.

We thank God for seeing us through these years and also blessing us with such a special gift - Nathan.

It has been 4 years...

A few days ago, while archiving some mails I found a chain of emails between Karen and me when she was in Doha.  That was so long ago... Jan 2008.  We were prayer partners and exchanging prayer needs.  That time I just joined ANZ not long.  I had also started teaching in Children Ministry too.  Times really flies.  It was already 4 years since I started teaching.  No wonder I felt "emo" when the batch of children "graduated" for "3 to 6" to "P1 connect group".  I had taught since they were three!

Can you spot Gloria, Lucas and Jemina?

Love Notes for Spouse

Love has to be expressed just like a bell has to be rung. Each of us has a love tank that needs to be topped up daily.

Oftentimes, marriage runs on an empty tank as one spouse fails to express love to the other.

Start off by leaving love notes for your spouse in your home, anywhere to surprise him/ her. It will rekindle the spark in your marriage.

And I just did it. 
